Awards for year of 2006: Grand Prix of the Festival
The
Grand Prix of the Festival goes to the film "(Hate) Machine",
author and producer Phil Caron, Canada. The film is about
the power of the media. It is warning how dangerous it can be to accept
the constructed new truth.
Jury
decided that the award for the best selection on the Festival goes to
Public Broadcasting Service of Bosnia-Herzegovina for
remarkable, diverse quality and authorial identity in all categories of
the programmes of this Festival: from programme on ecology through documentaries
all the way to TV Films. Golden Olive goes to the film "Blue Roses Garden", produced by HRT – 4 Film (Croatia), for the deeply involved story about volunteers working with children with special needs, devoting attention to the children, understanding and love and receiving from them much more – learning of the beauty of living. Silver Olive goes to the film "Through Mirco's Eyes", produced by Federico Jolli, directed by Michael Beltrami (Switzerland) for an extraordinary story told in a simple and remarkable way about a blind man, Mirko Mencacci who turned forever the world of pictures into the world of sounds showing thus that human potentials have no limits. Bronze Olive goes to the film "Day of Youth", produced by Atelje Varan from Belgrade (Serbia) and directed by Jelena Jovčić for the film where the director in a spontaneous and smooth way with a recognizable authorial quality, starting from her own family, deals with a conflict between two views on history of her region – titoistic and pretitoistic, communist, and anticommunist, which is pervading all social turmoil even today. The award for directing: goes to Mladenu Santriću for the film "Blue Roses Garden" produced by HRT – 4 Film (Croatia) for delicacy and moderation in directing a storyline with a sensitive subject: children with special needs. The award for screenplay goes to Tamar Feingold for the film "The Children's house", produced by Ruth Diskin Films (Israel), and directed by Tamar Feingold. The film speaks about the experience, suffering and memories of children living in kibbutz, a special type of communes in Israel. The author combines the archive source and interviews with parents, universally witnessing the results and consequences of this unique Israel project. The award for photography ex-equo

for two entirely different, but supreme application of techniques in using
film camera: to the director of photography Péter Jankura
for the film "The Mediator", produced by Barna
Kabay, Europa Kft, Macropus Film, Hungary, for a highly professional actualization
of the classic film photography style to Jan Haft working
on the picture in the film "Meadow". The film
was produced by Studio Hamburg Produktion and is awarded for the film
– making which in a superior way combines high-technique elements with
computer animation and special effects. Award for best directing
The
award for the best director in the category of ecology goes to Ivan
Mitevski for the film "Resurrection",
produced by TV Macedonia. Directing logically goes along with everything
that has already been said in the film. The award for photography
The
award for the best photography in the category of ecology goes to Milun
Rabrenović for the film "Montenegrin Steppe",
produced by TVCG, for the stylistic unity of the picture that in a remarkable
way invariably follows the idea of the film. Award for screenplay
The
award for the best screenplay goes to Cristina Oancea
for the film "Sunset of Goldminers" produced
by Romanian Television. The subject was complexly worked out in the screenplay
based on a thorough investigative technique of documentary as well as
feature film source which successfully links the past with the present. Golden Olive

the category of ecology Golden Olive goes to the film "Resurrection",
produced by TV Macedonia and directed by Ivan Mitevski.
The award for photography
The
award for the best photography in the category of TV Film/ TV Drama goes
to Tomas Erhart for the film "The Wall –
Berlin '61" produced by Team Worx / WDR, Germany, for ingenious
use of colour and light which managed to conjure up the period of the
sixties. The award for directing The award for the best director in the category of TV Film/ TV Drama goes to Riccardo Milani, for the film "Kefalonia, 8th Septembar 1943", produced by RAI Fiction, PALOMAR-CINETEAM, Italy, for the successful transformation of a historical event into a truthful film story, where the characters are opposed in an impressive way with counterbalance of a tragic story set in a beautiful landscape. The award for the screenplay The award for the best screenplay in the category of TV Film/ TV Drama goes to Stefano Rulli and Sandro Petraglia for the film "Kefalonia, 8th September 1943" produced by RAI Fiction, PALOMAR-CINETEAM, Italy, for the successful combination of the epic and poetic in a tragic story about human distress in World War II. The award for the best actor The award for the best actor in the category of TV Film/ TV Drama goes to Luca Zingaretti for the film "Kefalonia, 8th Septembar 1943" produced by RAI Fiction, PALOMAR-CINETEAM, Italy, creative and convincing actualisation of a strong, complex character. The award for the best actress The award for the best actress in the category of TV Film/ TV Drama goes to Audrey Hamm for the film "Skies Above the Landscape", produced by RTV Federacija BIH who transforms from a newcomer into a person who accepts different culture as a part of her own life. Bronze Olive In the category of TV Film/ TV Drama Bronze Olive goes to "I Have Something Important to Tell You", directed by Željko Sošic, produced by Izraz, MAPA, RTCG, UFSCG, Montenegro for a deeply moving story about destiny of young artists in the labyrinth of transition. Silver Olive In the category of TV Film/ TV Drama Silver Olive goes to film "The Wall – Berlin '61" produced by Team Worx /WDR, directed by Hartmut Schoen, Germany, for the story which shows how a political decision on setting up of the Berlin Wall in 1961 turned the lives of ordinary people into tragedy. Golden Olive U In the category of TV Film/ TV Drama Golden Olive goes to film "Kefalonia, 8th September 1943" produced by RAI Fiction, PALOMAR-CINETEAM, directed by Riccardo Milani, Italy, for a powerful epic story based on historical event which emphasises that human dignity motivates people to survive in the most difficult conditions. |
